Retreat - Remedy for Lockdown Blues

This year is marked by Covid19, which forces people to face intense challenges, thus creating a feeling of isolation and loneliness. The suggestion that such feelings can dissipate through retreat seem to be at best an unusual solution, and the question that arises spontaneously is: have we not withdrawn for too long in the past nine months? Answer is No, because the retreat, which is an important pillar of all spiritual teachings, has a different character than simple isolation behind closed doors. In fact, during such withdrawal, the mental flow changes its direction, turning inwards and not outwards, thus breaking the rusty mental locks. As a result, you realize that the door that appears to be holding you locked in, is only a product of your ignorance, and that in reality there is nothing between you and freedom. Such a realisation enables your original face to finally comes to light - clean and washed from stains and colourful masks used on the stage of life.
